Walking by Faith
Trusting God in an Ever-Changing World
It seems as if every day something is changing in regards to new protocols, new procedures, loss of jobs, and new day to day affects on our lives. Our calling, and Calvary Everett's purpose in this ever changing, and growing situation is to continue to walk by faith in a God who never changes, (Hebrews 13:8) seeking to practically love Him by practically loving others! It is not only because God is unchanging that we can trust Him, but that He is a promise keeper! Click on the link below to be reminded of the promises that God has for you!
For when hardships come our way, we are prepared for this, because God prepares us all for His ministry by giving us His Spirit! So let us walk by faith and not by sight! 2 Corinthians 5:5-9 He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. 6 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.
Finding Peace & Taking Action
Jesus the World Changer
John 16:33“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Jesus has overcome sin AND DEATH. We find our peace in the troubles of this world when we take and TRUST Jesus at His word. That He indeed has overcome the world. Our response in to how to take action from this truth is being called to live as more than conquerors . Romans 8:37-39 "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation (Including COVID-19), will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
How Will we Do this?
Our services will be held digitally through Facebook live in our homes. We encourage you to invite members from our church, and others (IF YOU AND THEY ARE HEALTHY) to your home while still abiding by the social distancing procedures. Our goal is to continue providing and creating Christian community within our church. If you are interested in joining with others to participate in our Sunday service use the link below to contact the church, so we might be able to assist you in this area.
Our Facebook live video of service can be found on our Facebook Page Sunday Mornings at 9:30am. Click on the link below to view or page and find more information. (You do not need a facebook account to view our page or the Live video. Just click the link below)
We believe the study of God's Word is essential for growing as a believer, and although we may not be able to meet in person at the moment, Bible studies for Women and youth will still be continuing digitally. See the "Resources" below regarding ZOOM for more details. Men's studies are postponed for the time being, but we are encouraging them to get involved in our "Helping Hand" and "What is your story" ministries.
Ministry in the Midst of COVID-19
Outreach & Evangelism
It is our aim as Calvary Everett to minister to our city showing the love of Jesus in a Jesus styled way. Serving in LOVE. Jesus continually lived by example in putting others first. Mark 10:45 "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." We are praying for revival in our city during this time, and seeking ways we can be carrying out this mindset of service and love our city of Everett and areas around us. Needs are growing, and we want to show how GOD can fill them. These include practical needs, emotional health due to isolation, physical needs, health assistance, and more. Our Helping Hand ministry seeks to be the very hands and feet of Jesus. For more information on this see the resources below, or visit our Helping Hand page.
Our scheduled events on the calendar are currently postponed, and we will be putting any and all information as it progresses in this section, along with posting on our social media platforms to keep you updated.
